About
Micaela Brown is a seasoned communications and strategy leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations in energy, technology, and healthcare transform complex information into clear, compelling narratives that drive decisions, build trust, and accelerate results.
She has led cross-functional teams, shaped regulatory and stakeholder communications, and built the frameworks that enable organizations to communicate with consistency and impact. Her work spans the full communications spectrum, from executive-level reporting and regulatory compliance to marketing, branding, and knowledge management.
Most recently, as Senior Consultant and Team Lead at DNV Energy, she directed 300+ commercial energy assessments annually for Arizona Public Service, developed data-driven reporting frameworks that improved customer insights, and pioneered EV fleet conversion templates adopted by multiple Southwest utilities.
She has managed regulatory reporting for Pacific Gas & Electric, Puget Sound Energy, Energy Trust of Oregon, and the California Public Utilities Commission. Earlier in her career, she delivered competitive market intelligence at HealthLeaders-InterStudy and covered emerging technology and investment trends at John Wiley & Sons.
Her M.S. in Science and Health Communications (University of Tennessee) and B.S. in Zoology (Oregon State University) give her a rare ability to make technical content accessible to diverse audiences. She is a collaborative leader known for active listening, creative problem-solving, and a genuine commitment to people-first outcomes.
